(com.lamentjournal.app), made by Wayfarers Digital LLC
- Your journal is kept in your account, readable by you and no other user, and restored when you sign in on a new phone.
- Text leaves for an AI feature only when you ask for that feature.
- We do not sell or share your personal information, and there is no advertising.
- You can export your journal or delete your account at any time.
What we collect
| Category | What | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, and the name your sign-in provider shares if you use Google or Microsoft | You, or your sign-in provider |
| Journal | Your entries and drafts, with their titles, tags and passages | You |
| Generated content | Psalms, reflections, companions, paintings and patterns you ask for | Generated at your request |
| Settings | Reminder time, lock preference, app PIN, and whether you have full access | You |
| Crash reports | App version, device model and make, operating system, which app permissions are granted, and where in the app the crash happened | The app, when it crashes |
A journal can reveal religious beliefs, health and other sensitive matters. We use it only to provide the service you asked for, and never to build a profile of you.
Crash reports never contain anything you wrote, a picture of your screen, or your email address. They are on by default, and you can turn them off in Settings → Diagnostics → Crash reports.
Voice notes use your phone’s own speech recognition, under its maker’s terms. Sincerity receives only the transcribed text, which you can edit before saving, and never stores audio.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
Why we use it
- To keep your journal in your account and on each phone you sign in on
- To generate the psalms, reflections, companions, paintings and patterns you ask for
- To check your PIN and your access level
- To find and fix crashes
- To answer you when you write to us
Who processes it
These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide the service.
| Company | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts, journal storage and sync |
| Google (Gemini API) | Generating the AI features you ask for |
| Google, Microsoft | Sign-in, if you choose them |
| Sentry | Crash reports |

We do not sell or share personal information, and have not in the past twelve months.
How long we keep it
Your journal and account are kept until you delete them. Deleting an entry removes it from your account and every phone you are signed in on. Deleting your account removes everything in it immediately. Crash reports are kept only as long as needed to fix the problem.
Your data, and your rights
You can see, correct, export and delete your data, and you can ask us what we hold about you.
- Export: in the app, Settings → Privacy
offers Encrypted backup (a
.lamentbakfile) and Export as PDF. - Delete: open an entry to delete it, or delete your whole account under Settings → Danger zone. How account deletion works.
- Everything else: email privacy@wayfarersdigital.com.
We confirm requests by checking that you control your account’s email address. You may use an authorized agent with your signed permission. We respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, reply to our answer to appeal, and we will respond to the appeal within 45 days. Using these rights never changes the service you receive.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is restricted to your account.
Children
Sincerity is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes, and note material changes in the app’s release notes.
